test driving a blog...

I have been debating the blog scene for some time. I would often think about who would read my blog and then I realized I really do not care. I decided in order to write a blog I must first decide what a blog really is and I have concluded it is a place to share your thoughts with anyone who might want to read, family, friends, strangers, hero's, enemies alike without discrimination. I am both surprised and disappointed that it has been so hard to write my first entry but I am convinced this is the hurdle, the only hurdle. I remember buying my own first car and being so excited at the dealer and debating if I would want to take it for a test drive or not. I thought about it and was dumbfounded that minutes before making the most expensive and biggest decision of my life I was nervous. When driving my car I rarely think about crashing, never have two hands on the wheel, always drive a little over the speed limit and the radio is never loud enough. So I took the plunge and nodded slowly with a dry mouth when asked if I wanted to take the care for a test drive. After adjusting the mirrors and my seat for a good 10 minutes (so it felt) I cruised along with my hands at 10-2 on the wheel just under the posted speed limit and used my blinkers WAY to far in advance. Oh, what song was on the radio, are you kidding, no radio... I was focused on not crashing. So there you have it, looks like my first blog is done and I'm safely back at the dealership, ready to make a purchase, explore the world, see things I haven't seen, challenge myself, challenge others, on my blog (or in a silver 1998 Jetta).- the guy'
