I would like to nominate the scissors for the most valuable tool of the year
Just a quick note to point out how valuable a scissors is and the many different things it can be used for. As a person, coach, employee and father I have recently found several situations where I wish I had a scissors near by. Some of the best examples were brought up by friends of mine; for example, one friend, the mother of two indicated that cutting her children's food at a restaurant is easier with a scissors than fork and knife. Hmm I thought, and then gave it a shot and cut my own son's pizza and pasta and chicken fingers one day (not one meal obviously) with a scissors... Seamless!! Faster, neater, and flat out easier than using fork and knife. Recently when my cousins were visiting and my cousin tried on a pair of pants which were way to long but fit in the waist correctly he reached behind the store counter and cut the pants making them a perfect fit. Similarly...Not really... But I was once barbecuing (a topic I know well) and while trimming the meat I used a pair of scissors as opposed to a knife... Once again... So much easier and much more effective.
my point is simple... Of all the tools in the world, hammer, screwdriver, knife, etc..I think the scissors is not only the most valuable BUT also the most underrated. I am personally going to begin the movement to make carrying a scissors around more acceptable.
wish me luck and please fee free to help in the cause by grabbing a scissors and throwing it in you work bag, diaper bag or any bag for that reason.
